What is the maximum number of players?
Exploding Kittens 2 supports from 2 up to 5 players. Some game types, such as Lightning Kittens, support a maximum of 4 players.

We’ve also integrated advanced technology for a smarter, more strategic single-player mode and reintroduced the famous Nope card for strategic play.

What expansion packs are available at launch?
Imploding Kittens is available as an additional purchase.
How many expansions do you have planned?
Two more expansions—Streaking Kittens and Barking Kittens—are planned post-launch to ensure our players enjoy continuous new content. In addition, as long as there is demand, we’ll keep the updates coming! Stay tuned for more information on these exciting upcoming expansions!
Does the game feature in-game purchases?
Yes. You can purchase expansions and various cosmetic items, such as outfits (including arms), locations, card backs, and emoji sets.
Is there a season pass or a similar bundle?
We offer an in-game purchase that grants access to additional expansions. At the time of release, this bundle immediately unlocks Imploding Kittens, and will unlock Streaking Kittens and Barking Kittens as soon as they are released.
Can I play with friends and strangers at the same time?
No, this feature is not currently available.
Can players play with expansions they don’t own via host-sharing?

Can I share in-game content with my family members?
It depends on the platform you are using, as each platform has its own set of rules and guidelines. For this reason, we highly recommend that you take the time to read up on the relevant platform’s guidelines before purchasing in-app content with the intent to share it with your family members.
STEAM – On Steam, you can share in-app content with members of your Family Library group, but you’re prevented from playing the game at the same time. For more information, please visit this page.
APPLE APP STORE – On iOS, you can share the base game and any of its in-app purchases with members of your Family Sharing group. For more information, please visitthis page.
GOOGLE PLAY STORE – On Android, only the base game can be shared using the Family Library feature. In-app purchases can’t be shared and must be purchased separately for each account. This is due to restrictions put in place by Google and affects all apps on the Play Store. You can find out more here.

Yes. The game includes a single-player mode where you can face off against AI opponents. With three difficulty levels, our AI is designed to learn your moves and adapt its strategy dynamically.

Are there achievements?
Achievements are linked to platform-specific achievement systems. As of now, they are restricted to Steam.
Does the game have leaderboards?
Yes, Exploding Kittens 2 features leaderboards so you can see how you rank against other players globally.
Does it have text, video or voice chat?
While these features will not be available at launch, we plan to add them in the future. We take our players’ feedback and will consider it as we update our roadmap.
Do I need to have a Bubble account?
Players can enjoy Exploding Kittens 2 without a Bubble account. However, a Bubble account is needed to play online multiplayer and access features such as leaderboards and syncing progress across devices.
